Elements evaluated and ratings might include the following.

* The general purpose of the speech was clear.

* The specific purpose of the speech was clear.

* Speech organisation including planning and structure.

* Material content supporting main speech points.

* Specific speech purpose reinforced by its beginning, middle and end.

* Confidence and sincerity of the speaker.

* Reliance on notes.
