You get to build your perfect space for reading and writing. What’s it like?

When looking at retiring, we organised and built an office underneath our house. It’s an elevated house and there was room to build a decent office designed and custom-made.

Rather than writing at length about my office, which I offer to both our children and grandchildren to use when they need to, I’ll go for sharing by

picture.

I use the office quite a bit but if truth be known prefer to work upstairs in our house on a very large mahogany table, so that I can talk with my wife as I work and so that we can share time together.

The office is nice and functional and will fit it out but it’s also separate from the rest of our house – and I do like sharing time upstairs
