I was so proud to have been principal of this school for the last 20 years of my career. It had its many challenges, but these sat in the shadow of the joy and celebrations that wa all experienced as a school and community.

We still live just on one kilometre from the school. I don’t go visiting or interferring because that should never be the way past leaders impose on present leaders and staff.

I hear from past stidents and staff – from time to time – and donate several hundred dollars each year to the school for expenditure on end-of-school year awards.

It is a way of giving back to a school and community that gave so much to me.
