On responsible thinking and action 

• People may think only of the future and have no inclination to consider what has gone before, even if it is further back than yesterday.

• There is a possibility and some small probability that people who commit crime after crime after crime will come to repent and change their ways.

• There is a possibility but zero probability that parents will take back their upbringing – of children – responsibilities from early learning centres and schools.
