FIVE POSITIVES ABOUT HENRY

Share five things you’re good at.

I think that this is a very positive and very timely topic. It is one that fits so frequently to people within organisations and within life generally.

The topic reminds me of the fact that so often we are want to help with bats, criticism and negatives at others and to think them about ourselves – And to the point of where positives overlooked.

In order to achieve balance in life there needs to be a consideration of things that people do well and things that they might do differently and better. All too often, it’s the former that takes prominence with appreciation being forgotten.

I submit the following as five self- positives.

I have always tried and always try to appreciate others.

I can carry out two or three things at a time by synchronising activity.

I listen to others, with my ears being more important than my mouth.

I support others through sharing experiences, editing work and by helping where possible to support others.

I keep a diary and have a yearly record of my activities – with a few gaps here and there – going back to the start of my teaching career in 1970.

Some of my diaries.
