Thought on traffic lights

Whenever I approach traffic lights that are green or sufficiently amber to allow me to traverse, I lift my hand in appreciation and say “thanks” as I drive through.

If the lights are insufficiently amber or red,  causing me to stop, I fix them with an expressionless and vacant stare of disapproval and ignore them completely – until they go green.
