Quandary Dissipated

My name is Henry

My head’s in a whirl

I was born as a boy

But feel like a girl

For eighty odd years

It hasn’t felt right

But good news at last

Corrections in sight.

In New South Wales

For eighty odd bucks

I changed my gender

Life no longer sucks.

My mind is euphoric

I may look like a boy

But ‘Girl’ says this paper

Brings endless joy.

‘Henry’ has gone

Far and away

Replaced by ‘Henrietta’

A female to stay.
