Two radio stations were broadcasting simultaneously today. On one channel—both being ABC—the Treasurer Jim Chalmers was talking about how wonderful he was and how great it happened to be that the federal budget had savings of six billion dollars. Wasn’t he a good treasurer getting that to be the case? On the other channel, at the same time, commentators were talking about how sad it was that the RBA will tomorrow raise interest rates on home loans and how desperate the Australian economy had become. So good news on one channel, bad news on the other, and both at the same time.
