The terrible crime allegedly committed against Ms Haines is in all likelihood going to go unpunished, with the perpetrator of this ghoulish crime ‘excused’ from the reality of his dreadful act on the grounds of insanity. After reading accounts in The Australian and the Herald Sun, I believe this may well be the outcome when the stack of psychiatric reports that will be forthcoming is tabled on his day of court accountability.
