These stories remind me of a weasel

Stories about our federal treasurer, Jim Chalmers, always make me think about a weasel.

There’s hardly a day that goes past without there being at least one, two, or three stories in the media about Treasurer Chalmers and all he is doing or not doing for the country.

These stories remind me of a weasel who can always get through the chicken wire in order to wangle out the very last amount of substance that’s supposed to be protected.

The amount that he takes out of us in direct and indirect taxes is astounding, and his desire to take more and more and even more after that is absolutely mind-blowing.

He is certainly not like a weasel who stores anything, though. What he gets from us all is quickly slathered, a lot of it in misrepresentative and foolish directions.

This man is the worst treasurer that we have ever had. His lack of economic understanding is there for all to see.

He is but one of a host—or should I say hoost—of incompetents on the front bench of the Albanese government’s cabinet.

This is just the worst bloody government we have had since Whitlam, back in the 1970s.
