What are your thoughts on the concept of living a very long life?

Life,

The bestowal of mortality,

Is a metamorphosis,

Of four phases.

Getting born,

Growing up,

Becoming old,

Going dead.

To me

Length of life

And it’s quality

Is a lottery.

Some will draw the long life marble,

Surmounting challenges,

Others will be predestined,

To shorter,

Sometimes painful,

Mortal experiences,

Between the cradle and the grave.

Accidents,

Misadventure,

Pestilence and disease,

Environmental catastrophes,

Man-made mayhem,

Created by power crazy leaders…

A hoost of threats to life,

Confront the living,

Every second,

Of every day.

Will life be long,

Or short?

I do not know,

I cannot say.
