What skills or lessons have you learned recently?

I am learning dark lessons that I do not have the skills to manage. The lessons are being heaped upon me as realisations that at all levels of community, negatives are on the rise.

Domestic violence is on the increase.

Crime is out of control.

Educational quality is on the decline.

Student dissatisfaction and lack of motivation is on the rise.

Primary parental care for and commitment to the upbringing of their children is on the wane.

Demands that agencies and organisations should operate ‘loco parentis’ is on the rise.

People are getting poorer but spending more and more on alcohol, cigarettes, drugs, gambling, and entertaining.

Meaningful training of people toward key occupations is ever more mediocre

Care for others is on the decline.

Selfishness and ‘I myself’ attitudes is on the rise.

The list of these sorts of realisations is on the rise.

I think these trends are wrong but I do not have the skills to turn attitudes toward any correction.
