Is your life today what you pictured a year ago?

It is hard to see the end from the beginning. It’s hard to predict what is coming next, even one day at a time let alone what might happen on this day in 365 days.

So I will check my diary and go back to 17 November 2022 to try and picture whether or not all that time ago, I was in any position to predict what might happen today.

Well, I have checked my diary and there is no way 365 days ago, I could have REALLY predicted what today might bring to the fore. There are however. some similarities.

• Our son was flying to Singapore en route to Los Angeles for a work-related conference. That’s not happening today, but he flies regularly for work.

• The Ukranian Invasion by Russia was on its 266th day. Today is its 667th day.

• There was no Hamas-related conflict with Israel at this time last year, but today the conflict is on its 72nd day.

• Anthony Albanese was in Thailand, attending his third overseas conference in a row. At the moment he is relaxing in WA taking in the wine-growing region of Margaret River – BUT he is always off overseas to conferences.

• Our newsagent was having a 50% off everything sale, with the business changing hands. The new newsagent is offering some specials at the moment.

• I went shopping. November 17th 2022. I have been shopping today and have a bit more shopping to do.

• Our local Territory Butchers shop was shut because a wonderful family member had been murdered. This excellent shop is closed today because it is Sunday.

• That is my major recall to today from 365 days ago.
